So, quick update.
- I had a baby girl in October. October 9, 2007, three minutes after midnight to be exact. It was in a hospital (to my disappointment) but with a mid-wife.
- Tracy left his job with the County Highway Department and is now a full time stay at home Dad with Emma. He is really good at it.
- I am the primary wage earner for the family. I am less good at that. We are all adjusting.
- Tracy and I celebrated our one year wedding anniversary. Well, I don't know that we really celebrated but cards were exchanged and I am the proud owner of the first two seasons of "West Wing." Hey, nothing says romance like the West Wing, right?
- Emma will be 6 months old in just two short weeks. It blows my mind.
- Parenthood is a head trip. Being married is warfare and a head trip.
- I'm fat and lazy and out of shape. My hair is short. I am breast feeding (hence the fat and lazy.) What I mean by that is I am not working out to get back to my pre-pregnancy size because I am breast feeding and working. Therefore, I pump a lot and don't have the best milk supply. I can't risk a decrease in my supply by trying to lose weight. And, no, I am not one of those lucky women who are super skinny because I breast feed. I am never one of those kinds of lucky women. (If you don't like me talking about breast feeding - get over it.)
Here are some early pictures of Emma. I'll add newer ones soon.
Emma, day one or close to it. It's amazing to look at these pictures now. I can't believe she was this small.
Here is Aunt Maggie with little baby Emma only a couple weeks old.
